About Us

One evening before the year 2003, Joni and Terry were looking for someplace to go out for dinner.
They wanted a place that was informal and affordable; where they wouldn’t be rushed,
and where the food is not mass-produced, cooked in fry oil, and otherwise full of preservatives.
While there are plenty of good restaurants in the Sturbridge area, some were too expensive,
others were chain restaurants; nowhere really offered the combination of freshly cooked food and a
warm, relaxed atmosphere.
Preferring the goodness of wholesome foods and unique offerings
as they provide for their family in their own home,
they did a lot of research and decided to create their own place.
Their work had just begun.
Next they had to decide on a style and a theme that would be distinctive and appealing,
yet unpretentious and amiable to all.
A traditional English pub-style restaurant seemed to fit in perfectly with their idea.
The Copper Stallion was soon created and opened in September, 2004.

And what better place to boast an elegant British/American establishment then historic Sturbridge, Massachusetts in one of the oldest buildings in town!

Joni and Terry have always loved to cook and entertain,
and have always enjoyed serving their home recipes to family and close friends.
Their victuals collection embrace the more traditional British and American cuisine
that they enjoyed growing up; Joni in Boston, and Terry, in the United Kingdom. 

Now The Copper Stallion is not the place to go if you’re in for a quick dinner.
Nope.
Each meal is cooked to order; just as you would get at Joni & Terry’s home.
At no time are the main courses pre-cooked and re-heated for fast serving.
There are plenty of fast food franchises in town to keep you happy
if this is how you want to be served lunch or dinner.
Our servings cater to healthy appetites and we’re sure that
you’ll find our wholesome and healthy ingredients satisfying.

 

Tuesday – 4:00pm to 11:00pm, dinner served until 9:00pm

Wednesday – 4:00pm to 11:00pm, dinner served until 9:00pm

Thursday – 4:00pm to 11:00pm, dinner served until 9:00pm

Friday – 11:00am to 11:00pm, serving 12:00pm until 10:00pm

Saturday – 11:00am to 11:00pm, serving 12:00pm until 10:00pm

Sunday – 11:00am to 11:00pm, serving 12:00pm until 9:00pm
